**About the Program**

SSI has recently been chosen as one of six organisations for The **Home Care Workforce Support** Program Funded by the Australian Department of Health, the program will help senior Australians to remain at home by growing the personal care workforce.

SSI will deliver the program in NSW and the ACT with support from member organisations.

We will help to develop and enhance aged care by:

- promoting training and support opportunities for new recruits and others who wish to upskill
- supporting new recruits to navigate and access training opportunities
- providing virtual mentoring and career guidance support to students undertaking training
- linking trained personal carers to job vacancies in the home and community care sector
- providing advice and training to the aged care industry on recruitment strategies and how to maintain a diverse workforce

**About You**

We are looking for **x 2 Community Engagement and Stakeholder Officers** who will work closely with the lead to implement community engagement plans. You will be responsible for attracting new students into the sector, promoting the program within the community, attending events, participating in school and career expos, raising awareness as well as liaising with education and employment service providers.

**Essential Criteria**
- Experience with Community & stakeholder engagement, leadership and mentoring capability.
- Administrative, organisational, budgetary, reporting and planning skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and motivational skills.
- A detailed understanding of the issues faced by users of the Program/Service/Centres, as well as ways to assist with solving these issues.
- Stakeholder focus and the ability to act empathetically and with sensitivity and understanding.
- Analytical interpretation and advanced problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible with days / hours of work.
