ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a Training Officer who will be responsible for the development and delivery of our training initiatives and programs to encourage safety, support capacity building, and achieving positive outcomes for young persons in OOHC and NDIS Participants. The role is primarily based out of the Head Office in Seventeen Mile Rocks.
**As the Training Officer, you will**:
- Support the development and implementation of training using multiple delivery platforms.
- Coordinate and facilitate Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training for new staff in the Brisbane region and a number of regional locations (travel required).
- Deliver other forms of training such as Induction Training and Professional Writing.
- Develop and implement training, feedback, and evaluation measures that meet standards and accreditation requirements.
- Support Strive in meeting statutory obligations and prepare for auditing activities.
- Support the training of systems and practices, including the ongoing implementation of the CREATE Model of Care and use of our client management system, by providing training to staff and identifying areas of improvement (full training provided for the successful applicant).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and adherence to associated policies and procedures.
- Support the ongoing development of organisational training.
**Skills and Experiences**:
ABOUT YOU
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Trainer Certificate (or willingness to undertake this training as an experienced trainer)
- 1 years’ experience in a similar role that includes demonstrated training facilitation and development.
- Has experience working in OOHC, with a demonstrated understanding of best practice and passion for practice improvement in relation to child protection in the community services industry.
- Current Paid Blue Card (WWCC) and Yellow Card.
- Clear and Current National Criminal History Check.
- An Australian Unrestricted Driver’s License.
