The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking an Operations Manager, Maribyrnong Community Residential Facility (MCRF) to provide a critical role within the Sentence Management Division.

About the business unit
Sitting within the Corrections and Justice Services Group, Corrections Victoria (CV) operates Victoria's adult corrections system. It ensures people in our custody are safely and securely managed and works to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of their offending behaviour.
MCRF is a 44-bed facility that provides accommodation to men who are being released from prison custody who may otherwise be released to homelessness, with the goal of working with residents to assist their transition into longer term accommodation and strengthen their prospects for rehabilitation and reintegration and reducing their risk of recidivism.
About the role
Some of the duties of the Operations Manager, Maribyrnong Community Residential Facility include:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility and in the absence of the General Manager, assume responsibilities as the Officer in Charge of the facility as required.
- Liaise, consult and negotiate with service providers to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services to residents.
- Liaise with Parole Central Unit, Sentence Management Division, CCS, prison staff and service providers to determine the suitability of an individual's placement at the facility.

Working a nine day roster that includes weekend and on-call penalties.

About you

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Demonstrated experience in providing leadership within a complex service delivery area with multiple providers, preferably in relation to working with clients engaged with the criminal justice system.
- Demonstrated experience and skill in areas relevant to the management of offenders and/or the correctional environment.
