If you are motivated to think creatively and outside the box in flexible service delivery to be able to support people who have experienced sexual violence in an informed manner, we want you to be a part of our team. Our service offers support to a diverse range of callers for historical and acute experiences of sexual violence and sexual assault. We are looking for a leader with experience in stakeholder management and collaborative relationships to work alongside Queensland’s developed Sexual Assault Support Network to meet the needs of individuals seeking support in and around current demands on the sector. You will be leading a team of highly qualified and experienced counsellors to provide responsive care and support to individuals seeking support, through a person-centred and trauma-informed framework, individualised to each caller’s support needs. **Role Description**: - Lead and inspire a small, dedicated team of Triage Counsellors and Specialist Sexual Assault Counsellors. - Drive change and impact lives through your commitment to continuously improve service quality. - Be known as the "go getter" that enjoys assisting others by using complex and clinical problem-solving skills. - Monitor real time team performance and quality of service, in line with our skilled workforce planning and quality teams. - Handle confidential and sensitive information in line with the current information sharing legislation. - Collaborate with all levels of management and external stakeholders while modelling the DVC values. **Qualifications & Requirements**: - Minimum 3-year tertiary qualification in Social Work, Behavioural Studies, or Psychology. As the Team leader for the Sexual Assault Line, it is required to be registered under ACA, PACFA, AASW, or AHPRA - Highly valued knowledge and expertise that demonstrates your understanding of the determinants, dynamics, and impacts of sexual assault/violence. - Ability to provide in the moment debrief and support to staff who are managing complex and sensitive cases. - Knowledge and experience in supporting staff to provide evidenced-informed best-practice support for callers who have experienced sexual violence. - Be a communication extraordinaire that can deliver effective interpersonal, communication, and engagement/consultation skills. - Inspirational leadership values that focus on maintaining positive well-being for staff. **Additional Requirements**: - Experience in management of a hybrid workforce (WFH/WFO arrangements) - Flexibility for shift work, weekend support and on-call support - A Positive Notice Blue Card and National Police Check or the ability and willingness to obtain one are required. - Right to work in Australia. - Proof of your Covid-19 Vaccination status will be required for this position prior to commencement. - Willingness to undertake further training and development. **What's in it for you?** - Competitive award rate - Monthly staff activities - Uplifting and supportive team environment - Empowering professional development - Be surrounded Brisbane's top practitioners
