This role of the Site Acquisition Officer is accountable for the Management of Acquisition and Design projects delivered by the Wireless Program Office, providing new Macro and Microcell and augmented Mobile base station infrastructure into the Telco's Wireless Networks reporting to the Southern Region Senior Lead - Site Acquisition Environment & Design.

This position provides specialist technical and project management for the engagement, delivery management and closure of projects to meet the relevant business demands for an allocated portfolio of projects ensuring that the components of a project are managed in accordance with the Project Plan associated with the relevant deed of contract.

Key Responsibilities

The delivery of assigned projects to meet the desired customer, time, cost, quality and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements.

Have a detailed knowledge and understanding of Mobile CMTS projects.

Have a sound knowledge of the Wireless Program Office (WPO) Contractor Delivery model and be able to display astute commercial acumen in the delivery of contracted works.

Manage expectations of stakeholders and delivery partners (including internal and external customers), drive change and negotiate successful project outcomes within a complex environment.

Demonstrate effective, clear, and concise written and oral communications to stakeholder on project progress risks/issues and manage appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure achievement of business objectives.

Essential Experience

Demonstrated understanding of property, environmental planning, civil design, construction methods, the mobile network and Federal/ State telecommunication legislation and their interdependencies. Knowledge of Mobile Phone Base Station Deployment Code 2011.

Extensive knowledge of Federal/State specific legislation and guidelines such as the Telecommunications Act 1997 (Schedule 3), EP&A Act, other relevant Property / Acquisition guidelines and Federal Government codes of practice.

Provide specialist advice on legislative matters to internal and external groups

Ability to manage a program of works and various stakeholders from internal Radio Engineers to members of the community, customers, State and Federal Members of Parliament, Councillors and Council Town Planners and staff.

Demonstrated relationships with key internal stakeholders, members of parliament and local government councillors.
