General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required
- Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
- Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems
- Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
- Assists with office/lab workstation setup and meeting room setup, including connecting to power, internet, projectors, monitors and screens etc.
- Maintains lighting systems throughout client facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
- Monitors HVAC, A/C and Electrical systems throughout client facilities, and assists vendors if required with troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, A/C and Electrical systems.
- Maintains and repairs chilled water systems, gas connections and plumbing issues throughout the site (if holds plumbing qualification).
- Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong awareness of safety requirements and demonstrated experience in ensuring safety comes first
- Self-motivated and have a positive proactive and customer service attitude
- Ability to work well within a team or independently
- Hard working, proactive and willingness to support smooth business operation for the client’s site
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- Relevant and valid OH&S cards preferred, such as License for operating a Forklift, Elevating Work Platform, and Work Safely At Heights
- Suitable Trade qualifications or experience in plumbing, carpentry, and building work. Basic knowledge and safety awareness around electrical work
- Experience with general repairs and maintenance in a structured commercial environment
- Valid Driver’s License
- Plumbing License is a bonus
