**The Organisation**

JK Is working with an iconic Brisbane based company specialising in the manufacture of high quality engineered low loaders, semi-trailers, spare parts, and collectibles. They are looking for Machinists to join our fast-paced growing manufacturing team in Archerfield.

**The Role**

Reporting to your supervisor to gain direction for your day, you will be required to program, set and operate CNC machines. Interpret technical / engineering drawings or other verbal and written instructions, making sure you have the correct materials needed to carry out task. You will also need to complete a final inspection of all products to ensure they meet company QA standards and specified standards.

**Duties**
- Check workshop drawings are correct to supplied material and to specification
- In process and final inspections on all products to ensure they meet company QA standards and specified standards. Perform QA procedures on all machined goods as per company policies.
- Recognise changes and improvement to product design and production methods
- Ensure all workshop personnel adhere to company occupational health and safety policies
- Ensure all job sheets and inspections are fully completed, signed off and returned to the relevant section.
- Ability to select correct tooling, speeds and feeds and job set up.
- Ensure all finished goods and paperwork are dispatched to the next section.
- Refurbish hydraulic suspension cylinders
- Operation of horizontal boring machine
- Mark out materials for machine operations

**Skills & Experience**
- Experienced use of manual and/or CNC machines lathes, milling and drills.
- Precision measuring using specialised tools and equipment
- Trade or certificate qualified will be well regarded but is not essential )
- Experience in a similar industry
- Forklift license desirable
- Previous experience with Lathe or Mill machines an advantage
