Facilities Manager, Immediate Start, Geelong

Hays Recruitment are seeking a Facilities Manager who will be responsible for managing the Facilities team as well as a range of operational, facility, property and maintenance matters, strategic planning and implementation of Capital Works Projects.
**Your new role**
As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation and delivery of cost-effective and quality facility services.
Key Tasks:
- Responsible for leading, consultation, planning, concept and/or design, construction supervision, contract administration, project handover and defects management
- Establish and regularly update a comprehensive integrated project management plan
- Develop, maintain and lead a strong working relationship with project consultants, contractors and key internal stakeholders
- Prepare budgets and cost plans for each project
- Responsible for the oversite of maintenance management and site management plans and communications
- Maintain all safety requirements for the Facilities Department
- Contribute to updating of maintenance department policies and procedures
- Responsible for the review, renewal and allocation of all contracts e.g. cleaning, security and transport
- Oversee the allocation of the keys / security cards
- Arrange inspection of buildings, and/or grounds on a monthly basis, and report through the relevant stakeholders
- Manage the Facilities Department and staff, delegating appropriate day to day tasks to the relevant Facilities staff
- Oversee the management of the bus operations
- Demonstrate outstanding communication skills
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role:
- Experience in project management including capital works
- Experience with the development, monitoring and reporting of budgets
- Strong knowledge of technology to assist with the Facilities Department and project management, including Microsoft Office
- Experience in time management, setting priorities, planning and organisation of work
- Demonstrate a high level of communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and be able to respond rapidly to change.
- Qualification in Facilities Management or related field
- Diploma in Project Management or related field (desirable)
- A MR licence (Advantageous)
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Current Working with Children’s Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
