**Role Description/Criteria**

St Thomas the Apostle School is seeking a part time Learning Support Officer for a position across four days, from 8.50am-3.20pm for the remainder of 2025 (this is approximately 24 hours) with the possibility of employment in 2026.
- Applicants for this position should demonstrate:

- a commitment to Catholic Education and the wellbeing and safety of students
- a commitment to the Child Safe policy of the school
- the ability to work closely with others.
- The successful applicant will:

- assist students either individually or in a group
- demonstarte initiative, enthusiasm and contribute to the life of the school community
- provide physical, social and emotional care for students
- liaise regularly with teaching staff with regard to student needs
- be flexible in dealing with the changing, challenging and diverse needs of individual special needs students
- have a current Working with Children Check
