As an Events Kitchen Steward, your responsibilities will go beyond just ensuring hygiene standards. Some of your key duties might include:

- **Cleaning and Sanitising**: Ensure that all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized to meet health and safety standards. This includes working with dishwashers, sinks, and other cleaning equipment.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist with the storage of kitchen supplies, ensuring that all items are correctly stored, labelled, and rotated to prevent spoilage or waste.
- **Support During Events**: Provide general kitchen support during events by ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly, such as replenishing supplies and assisting chefs or other kitchen staff when needed.
- **Waste Management**: Oversee the proper disposal of kitchen waste, including food waste, and ensure that all trash is collected and disposed of correctly to maintain cleanliness and prevent health hazards.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**: Follow all workplace safety procedures, from the handling of cleaning products to the safe use of kitchen equipment. Stay up-to-date with health and safety regulations.
- **Assisting with Stocking and Setup**: Help set up the kitchen or prep areas before events and assist with restocking throughout the event to ensure smooth kitchen operation.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $31.19 - $62.38 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week

- Kitchen Steward: 1 year (preferred)
