**About the role**
In the newly created role of the Specialist Worker for Children and Young People, you will have the opportunity to provide direct services to children and young people that are trauma informed, family centred and culturally appropriate. This role will support children, young people and their families to access mainstream and specialist services that will promote improved housing, safety and wellbeing outcomes.
**About you**
You are a passionate individual who possess’ the following:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology and/or related behavioural sciences
- 3-5 years’ experience providing high-quality holistic and child centred case management.
- Working with vulnerable woman and children and maintain strong skills in the assessment of risk and safety.
- A passion for supporting women and children in our community.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local community services.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Being female is a genuine occupational qualification as per section 31(2) of the _Anti-Discrimination Act 1977_ (NSW). Prior to an offer of employment, you will be required to have a current driver’s licence and Working with Children Check.
