**About The Centre**

Thrive North Gosford (Koolyangarra) is a purpose built centre that was established in 1991 and holds an extremely strong reputation in the local community, providing quality care and education.

The dedicated team of educators and teachers pride themselves on having meaningful connections with families and strong ties to the community.

The centre has a wonderfully large and well-shaded outdoor yard perfect for setting up engaging experiences and provocations.

The team have a strong focus on creating a positive experience for all children and families so they feel nurtured, safe, confident and valued.

**About The Roles**

We are currently looking for 2 educators to complete our leadership team.

**The 2IC** role will suit someone with experience working in a supportive leadership position.

You will spend time floating between each room and will be allocated a minimum of 8 hours per week of non contact time to assist the Centre Leader in the day to day operations of the centre.

**Your key priorities will be to**:

- Drive the curriculum, Learning for Life programs across all aspects of children's development
- Maintain and implement centre policies and procedures
- Identify and assist team members in a leadership capacity
- Build on team leadership and educator engagement
- Build strong relationships with children and families

**The Educational Leader** role will suit someone with experience in programming and the ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive learning culture within the centre for children, families and colleagues.

You will spend time floating between each room and allocated a minimum of 8 hours per week of non contact time to complete any training and mentoring required.

**To ensure you are fully supported in your role, you will be working closely with our Head of Education and Quality as well as all Educational Leaders within Thrive.**

**Your main responsibilities will be to**:

- Support educators to assess each child’s learning and development in relation to the approved learning framework, other contemporary theories and the Thrive Curriculum
- Support educators to critically reflect on each child’s learning and development and on their own pedagogy as part of everyday practice.
- Reflect on educational pedagogy as part of everyday practice
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all team members
- Maintain effective communication with parents
- Uphold strong work values with a focus on being your best by doing your best

**Your skills and qualifications should include**:

- Either Bachelor of Teaching (or equivalent) or Diploma qualification in early childhood education.
- NSW Working With Children Check
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer and technology skills
- _Strong knowledge of Kinderm8 is highly desirable._
