**YMCA Bundamba (Ipswich Junior) Campus** is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic **Teacher in Charge** to join our team on a **permanent, full time** basis.

As the Teacher in Charge, you will have the opportunity to be a driving force behind our mission. We are seeking an inspirational educator who is deeply connected to the community and can support our Head of School and Head of Campus in leading the school towards achieving its educational, wellbeing and vocational targets and objectives.
- Provide educational leadership and operational support, working closely with the Head of School and Head of Campus
- Create and deliver lessons in accordance with the guidelines and parameters provided by the Head of Curriculum and the school’s wellbeing framework
- Collaborate closely with the Head of School and Head of Campus to develop and implement strategies that align with the school's goals and objectives
- Cultivate a positive school culture that promotes student engagement, wellbeing, and achievement
- Provide mentorship and support to teaching staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Oversee day-to-day school operations and administrative tasks as required
- Collaborate with the Head of School and Head of Campus to develop and implement educational programs that align with our mission and vision
- Assist in the development and maintenance of school policies and procedures
- Participate in parent and community engagement activities to enhance the overall school experience for students and their families
- Contribute to the development of a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes personal growth and wellbeing
**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Current Registered Teaching Qualifications and relevant leadership experience
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- A deep commitment to the personal development and wellbeing of at-risk young people
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and staff
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR Qualifications; or willingness to obtain
- National Police Check; or willingness to obtain
