**The Client**
Our client, EGS is a multi-national organization operating in Europe, Americas, Asia and Australia. EGS provide a wide range of Marine Surveying services to the Telecommunications, Renewables, Oil & Gas, Charting and Marine Infrastructure sectors.
Due to an increase in demand in EGS services based out of Australia, they are seeking an experienced Hydrographic Surveyor to work out of their Western Australian branch for Onshore and Offshore responsibilities.
**The Role**
- **Onshore**
- Mainly based in Henderson with additional land based project work in Australia & Overseas
- Approximately 60% of the time
- **Offshore & Inshore**
- Northwestern Australia, Australia & International
- Approximately 40% of the job - 90 to 120 Days Per Year
The Hydrographic Surveyor is primarily responsible for the quality control in computation and logging of geospatial data and subsequent processing and reporting. As an experienced surveyor, you will be involved with all aspects of a project that includes;
- **Tendering**
- **Survey Planning**
- **Survey Acquisition**
- **Vessel Mobilization**
- **Equipment Calibration & verification**
- **Data Management & QC - to EGS & Clients Specifications**
- **Reporting**
In addition, the Hydrographic Surveyor will be conducting the following activities;
- **Surface and Subsea Positioning (USBL)**
- **Working closely with the engineering department to assist in troubleshooting of any equipment related issues**
The role will also potentially include the following upskilling and non project activities;
- **Coxswain’s Training gaining sea time on EGS Survey Launch**
- **UAV training & certification**
- **CPD training & opportunities**
**Essential Criteria**
- **University degree in Hydrography or a closely related marine/survey discipline.**
- **Experience as a Hydrographic Surveyor Able to operate as the onboard lead surveyor**
- **Be able to plan and organize daily survey activities onboard the survey vessel**
- **Experience Calibrating and operating of all survey equipment**
- **Experience with the following software: QINSY, Qimera, Caris,**
- **Experience with following Equipment: Kongsberg/Reson MBES, RTK, Total Station, Sonardyne/Kongsberg USBL**
- **Willing to work from the EGS office in Henderson, WA**
- **Can commit to site work / working away between 3 days and up to 6 weeks offshore**
- **Possess a Current BOSIET/FOET certificates**
- **Compiling & submission of Project Reports to EGS & Clients Specifications**
- **Excellent oral and written communication skills**
**Remuneration**
This is a permanent role and depending on experience the salary range will be,
- **100K to 110K**
- **+ Super**
- **+ Holiday & Leave Entitlements**
- **+ Offshore Bonus**

**Salary**: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

**Experience**:
- Hydrography: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- University Degree in Hydrography or Marine/Survey disciple (preferred)
