About the role
Casual opportunity to perform a range of clinical support activities and on the job skills development while engaged in formal tertiary studies necessary to acquire the relevant entry level qualification (mandatory) for employment as a Health Practitioner in Queensland. A Speech Pathology Health Practitioner Trainee will deliver allocated clinical activities for which they have been trained and assessed as competent.
About you
- Under the supervision of the allied health professional/Health Practitioner, initiate changes to treatment programs using results from standardised assessments, decision support tools, clinical pathways and/or patient guidelines.
- Provide education to patients and their families on a defined range of topics.
- Effectively communicate with patients and their families, and other health professionals.
- Ensure that time spent across clinical and non-clinical work is in keeping with assigned requirements.
