**Role Description**

Bendigo Health Diabetes Nurse Educators (DNE) provide education and support for people with diabetes as well as their carers. The DNE is required to be flexible, multi-skilled and able to work with a diverse range of individual, groups, inpatient services and community agencies across the continuum. The role incorporates activities such as advanced clinical care, coordination of care, self-management support, education of clinical staff and patients, running education and support groups and professional development.

**The Team**

The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute, allied health, cancer and mental health services. We provide a wide range of general medical, surgical and specialty services including but not limited to; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women’s and Children’s, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics and Mental Health Services. Our Allied Health teams provide a diverse range of programs and person centred care in inpatient, outpatient, community, home and residential care settings.
