Conveyor Belt Technican

Chiorino Australia Pty Ltd specialises in manufacturing high quality Conveyor & Transmission Belts using the latest technology. The company is owned by Chiorino Spa which is a privately-owned Italian Family Business that has been operating for over 116 years.

Due to significant business growth we have a position for an enthusiastic and motivated Belt Splicer who is a keen learner to start at our Head Office in the Brisbane Branch.

**Responsibilities**:

- Belt splicing, repairs, maintenance and installations of fabric, steel cord and solid woven belt;
- Identify common belt damage/faults and determine method of repair;
- Conduct conveyor belt maintenance tasks such as roller changes, roller frame change-out and repairs, skirt replacement and maintaining belt cleaners
- installing mechanical splice materials and assembling vulcanizing equipment
- Safety and quality compliance.

Must Haves:

- A strong commitment to safety and quality;
- Valid Driver’s Licence; and
- Willingness to work outside of hours as required.

Nice to Haves:

- WH&S Construction Induction (White Card)
- Forklift License

**Salary**: $62,000.00 per year

- On call
