Electronic Instrument Trades Worker

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Testing machines and equipment
- Machine maintenance
- Installing electronic instruments and control systems
- Service and Calibration of OHS and Environmental monitoring equipment.
- Repair and replace electronic spare parts in products, perform required testing as per manufacturers specification to bring back instruments in normal working order.
- Onsite service and maintenance of fixed Air Quality monitors for Sydney Metro tunnelling project
- PLC programming and maintenance of AQM monitors for site deployment and commission.
- Be able to work independently after training on hi-tech PLC programmed instrumentation on site.
- Able to diagnose electronic and instrumentation faults on products and provide service, repair and calibration as required.
- Maintain high level of service to maintain products IS certification.
- Design and development of outdoor solar power kits and equipment for remote monitoring
- Receiving customer enquiries regarding technical support, service update and job progress.
- Receiving or booking customers equipment in for service and sending confirmation back to customer with job number
- Provide technical training to customers where required on product knowledge and support.
- Provide field service work across the state if required.
- Maintain and achieve monthly service budget as decided by company.
- General administration duties as required for service and calibration.
**Skills and Qualifications**
- Trade certificate in electronic engineering or similar
- An Australian recognised Certificate III or Certificate IV
- Certificate in electrotechnology electrician or similar
- Certificate in electrical engineering or instrumentation
- Minimum 3 years’ on job experience in electronics engineering or electronic instrumentation as general trade worker
- Served apprenticeship as a trade worker in electronics and instrumentation (preferred)
- Computer knowledge and skills to be able to use calibration software’s, PLC programs, products software, conduct remote IT support on products.
- Good communication skills
- Flexible with a positive attitude
- Intuitive, attentive, and patient
- Ability to work under pressure and handle complex situations
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
**Education**:
- Certificate I - IV (preferred)
**Experience**:
- on job: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Trade certificate in electronic engineering or similar (preferred)
- Certificate in electrical engineering or instrumentation (preferred)
- Served apprenticeship as a trade worker in electronics (preferred)
- Australian recognised Certificate III or Certificate IV (preferred)
