- 6am-2pm
- 2pm-10pm
- 10pm-6am

**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Disability Support Worker will contribute to the effective day to day running of support services aimed at maximising the living, employment, social and recreational skills of people with a disability and ensuring a quality service. Community inclusion, independence, decision making, and personal choice should be promoted through these supports, with a focus on individual needs.

We support participants with low, moderate, and high support needs with a physical and or Mental Health diagnosis & across all identified disabilities, from all backgrounds, in single and multiple programs.

Your role will involve supporting clients with complex mental health and clinical needs in the areas of personal care, medication administration, mealtime management, domestic duties, mobility assistance, and community participation.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Certificate III or above in Individual Support /Disability/ Community services or Mental Health (or a related industry)
- Experience in supporting participants with restrictive practices.
- A valid Working with Children Check
- A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A current National Police Check (or be prepared to obtain one)
- A current First Aid & CPR certification (or be prepared to obtain one)
- Complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- A valid Driver’s Licence
- 100 points of valid ID
- Valid working rights

**About you**:

- You have a genuine desire & commitment to provide the best quality support for our participants.
- Demonstrated experience working with people with complex disabilities & challenging behaviours (preferred)
- You have strong communication skills both written & verbal with the ability to effectively communicate with participants and team members from a diverse range of backgrounds.
- You are proactive with a hands-on attitude and a great team player with the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
- You will be reliable and have flexibility to work a range of shifts - (we will work together to ensure shifts offered are aligned to your availability)
- Competent with Microsoft Office suite particularly MS Word and MS Outlook
- You are competent in report writing with an emphasis on providing concise & accurate reports to provide the relevant information to evidence how a participant has been supported in their day-to-day activities.

**Salary**: $40.26 - $42.79 per hour

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)
