**ABOUT THIS ROLE**
Our client is assembling a team of highly motivated Defence technical specialists to lead and deliver world class training solutions to the Navy. We are looking for a driven and service focused individual who is ready to take on this career changing opportunity. You will play a vital role in providing platforms and systems training for Navy personnel. You will be involved with the implementation of familiarisation, operator, and maintainer courses.
Experience across any of the below fields are needed:
- Marine Technician/Engineer
- Weapons Technician/Engineer
- Electrical Technician/Engineer
- Communication Specialist
- Combat Systems Operators
The type of training being delivered will be a mix of face-to-face training, blended learning, and eLearning in addition to the utilisation of emulators and part-task trainers. As an instructor you will be required to provide pre-course and post-course support to all students including assessments and reporting.
**ABOUT THE COMPANY**

They continue to improve the customer experience and modernisation of education and operational support solutions in the Defence industry.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Implement all activities associated with the delivery of specific training courses.
- Contribute to course facilitation, pre-course preparation and post-course activities.
- Manage student use of training aids (e.g., Part Task Trainers, emulators).
- Write student progress reports.
- Conduct trainee assessments.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the range of courses.
- Maintain positive customer-oriented business relationships.
**SKILLS & EXPERINECE NEEDED**
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1.
- Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Experience in an instructor or trainer position (desirable, not essential).
- Ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- Knowledge of Defence and their operating procedures and policies.
- Experience as a Marine, Weapons or Electrical technician in Defence (highly regarded).
