Relationship Manager (desk-based) - Third Party Banking (Adelaide)

**Who are we?**

As part of the broader Home Buying team, **Third Party Banking** is a dedicated sales and service support channel for the mortgage business placed with CommBank, via mortgage brokers. This team is a focused sales force with intensive calling programs, designed to ensure that CommBank product is front of mind when brokers are dealing with existing and prospective clients.

**Do work that matters**

As a **Relationship Manager **(known internally as ' **Relationship Manager Essential+ Tier** ' given that this is an office/desk-based RM role), you'll be reporting directly to the State Sales Manager and be responsible for driving profitable business by providing strong relationship as well as sales support management to a client base of brokers and advisers in the promotion of CommBank home loans and banking products for the Group.

**More specifically you will**:

- Develop effective relationships with new and existing brokers (phone based role)
- Ensure the provision of consistently accurate technical, loan structuring and policy support to brokers to maximise sales outcomes and identify training and development issues
- Drive the continuous improvement of brokers' knowledge and service standards to maximise sales activity
- Take ownership of customer needs and identify appropriate service and product solutions, ensure that settlements are maximised, and that customer retention risks are identified and proactively resolved
- Work in a team environment by developing and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues that support the achievement of team goals and objectives
- Be a change advocate, understanding regulatory initiatives and be agile to implement as part of ongoing broker education

**We're interested in hearing from people who have**:

- Working knowledge of CommSee
- Intermediate MS Excel skills
- Excellent industry knowledge of both local and national housing and mortgage broker markets, and prior experience in and knowledge of mortgage/lending products and services
- Demonstrated ability in sales, business development and relationship management, with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Commercial acumen, and an understanding of the Group's credit and risk policies
- The capacity to work in a busy, commercial, competitive environment, and the ability to meet objectives and targets
