You Connect (YC), formally known as youth connections, is a
_not-for-profit_ organisation that supports people living with a disability, have complex behaviours and/or have mental health diagnosis that impact their day-to-day functioning.

We support people aged 6-40 by providing a range of services in capacity-building supports, community participation, employment readiness, and housing.

We are seeking professional Support Workers to join our fast-growing team to provide support for our clients in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) properties in the Newcastle region.

**Your Duties may Include (but not limited to)**:

- Assisting with medication.
- Light household duties (SIL).
- Mentoring
- Transport
- Mental Health Support
- Community Access

**About You**:

- Reliable, empathetic and committed to supporting vulnerable people.
- Relevant industry experience and knowledge
- A comprehensive understanding of mental health issues and the challenges individuals face.
- Experience in supporting clients with complex mental health, drugs/ alcohol and a range of diagnosis.
- Ability to manage and deescalate heightened behaviours.
- Experience supporting individuals who self harm.
- Industry Relevant Certs are highly desirable.
- NDIS Screening check required.
- Working with Childrens Check.
- Police Check.
- Valid CPR and First Aid.
- Driving license.
- COVID-19 Vaccination.
