Committed to delivering superior results, they are currently searching for an experienced ICT Category Specialist to join their team. **Your new role** As an ICT Category Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of ICT Category Strategies across all of their sites. Your primary responsibility will be to own the end-to-end ICT procurement strategy process within the allocated sub-category, ensuring optimal procurement outcomes that deliver value for money. **The responsibilities of the role**: - Actively participate in the implementation of Supply Functional and Strategic Plans. - Develop leading-edge sourcing strategies focused on optimal outcomes. - Demonstrate "best value for money spent" outcomes for complex contracts. - Actively manage sourcing activities, supply market risks, and opportunities. - Lead procurement plans to support all capital and operational projects. - Negotiate directly with stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors. - Provide commercial and procurement assistance throughout the contract lifecycle. - Utilise company business systems to develop and execute Procurement Strategies. **About you** You will have an under-graduate degree in business/commerce or relevant field, or equivalent experience. A certification of Level 4 in the Queensland Government Procurement Certification Program is also highly regarded however it is your experience and knowledge in the following areas that are required to excel in this role: - A minimum 5 years of operational experience in developing and implementing category management plans. - Extensive experience in complex contractual arrangements for asset-intensive industries such as Utilities, Mining, or Manufacturing, with a focus on ICT procurement. - Strong understanding of contract management from both supplier and customer perspectives. - Proficiency in project management and risk management. - Good understanding of Commercial and Contract Law and relevant regulations. - Proven track record in persuading and influencing stakeholders at all levels. - Flexible, innovative, and capable of multi-dimensional problem analysis and solving. **Why you should be excited about this role** This company is at the forefront of pioneering projects aimed at building a more sustainable future.
