**About the Role**

The Endoscopy Suite Manager is an integral part of the final service planning, commissioning, implementation and ongoing operational activities, responsible for providing expertise in the development of the surgical services at Aegis Health Murdoch. The role is responsible for operational leadership and oversight of specialist elective Endoscopy services including pre and post procedure services and 3 procedure rooms. This role is a permanent full-time position.

As an integral part of the team, you will.
- In liaison with the Director of Clinical Services - Surgical, participate in the planning, design, commissioning and integration of Endoscopy services.
- Develop and review Endoscopy policies and procedures that reflect National Safety and Quality Health Standards (NSQHS) GENCA, ACORN, Sterilisation Services and other relevant quality and clinical safety standards and legislative requirements.
- Ensure that clinical and corporate governance is embedded in daily work practice.
- Attract high quality visiting medical specialists to the Aegis Health services and maintain positive, effective and responsive working relationship with the doctors.
- Oversee the effective management of resources, inclusive of equipment and scheduling of procedural utilisation, aligning service delivery with demand and activity targets.
- Participate as a member of clinical committees as required.
- Assist in Root Cause Analyses and investigations in relation to sentinel events, clinical incidents and complaints.
- Monitor and evaluate equipment needs, use and maintenance with specialist groups and coordinate tendering and procurement processes in preparedness for executive review and approval.
- Provide effective clinical leadership to the Endoscopy services team and ensure a training and development program that is appropriate to meet the needs of Aegis Health staff.
- Engage in clinical audit and reporting.
- Participate in the monthly reporting, monitoring and review of activity, trends, performance, risk management and other performance measurement outcomes.
- Ensure services are provided in a manner that is appropriate to people of Indigenous and other culturally diverse backgrounds, promotes the concept of substantive equality and supports the objective of closing the gap in Indigenous health.
- Liaise with corporate services in the development of business cases to support major equipment funding for replacement, capital budgeting and service development.
- Promote adherence to all pertinent Key Performance Indicators.
- Actively participates in the accreditation process and leads Quality and Clinical Risk Management initiatives.

**About You**
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- A proven history of leadership and management in a Senior Nursing role within Endoscopy Services in an Acute Hospital Facility.
- Demonstrated current clinical endoscopy experience and compliance with endoscopy governing guidelines
- Strong conceptual and analytical abilities, along with advanced skills in both oral and written communication.
- A demonstrated capacity to foster a positive, service-oriented culture that promotes excellent patient care and responsible stewardship, with an emphasis on innovation and enhancing productivity.
- A solid understanding of and experience with best practice Human Resource principles and systems, including performance management and workplace health and safety.
- Experience in establishing, tracking, and achieving budgetary and annual operational goals and benchmarks.
- A proven ability to influence behaviours and cultivate strong collaborative relationships with nursing teams, medical professionals, and other key stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Prior experience in commissioning Endoscopy Services (Desirable).
- Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing, Management, or a related field, or advancement towards such qualifications (Desirable).
- Verification of eligibility to work in Australia.
- Identification check validation.
- Police check clearance.
