**About you**
- Must have experience with Complex Mental Health
- Must Drive
- NSW Drivers License
- Full Covid19 Vaccination
- Able to use sign language (Auslan)

**About the role**
- Assist with **self-care** and personal hygiene tasks
- Provide support with **daily living** activities at home
- Facilitate **community access** (e.g., shopping, appointments, social outings)
- Foster **independent living skills** and promote social engagement
- Ensure a **safe and supportive environment** in both home and community settings
- Use **sign language** (Auslan)
- Supporting and monitoring their healthcare needs.
- Supporting them to pursue hobbies and interests.
- Supporting the learning of new skills or gaining employment.
- Teaching life skills, such as budgeting and paying bills.
- Helping them to access community facilities and be included in community groups.
- Understanding their communication needs and adapting your communication to each individual, e.g. sounds, tones, body language.
- Working with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support.
- Analysing an individual’s needs and drawing up a focused support plan.
- Becoming both a role model and companion to the individual and uncovering shared interests, such as hobbies and outings.

Pay: From $32.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Complex Mental Health: 2 years (preferred)
- Sign Language (Auslan): 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certificate (preferred)
- Police Check (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NSW Drivers License (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
