**About the Unit**:
The Future Students, Communications & Engagement unit is a vital part of the Global Engagement and Partnerships Division at the University of Newcastle.

This unit plays a key role in driving domestic student recruitment, marketing strategies, and engagement efforts that help build the University's brand and manage its reputation. By working in partnership with Colleges and Divisions, the unit leads the development and execution of strategies that support the University's goal of delivering an exceptional student experience and achieving student recruitment targets.

**Be Challenged and Imagine with Us**:
This is a newly created position that reflects the criticality of domestic student recruitment with the development and delivery of a strong student pipeline.

In this role, you will:

- Lead and deliver on the Domestic Student Recruitment Plan by developing and executing strategic student recruitment, outreach, admissions, and conversion plans.
- Provide senior leadership to College Marketing, Student Recruitment and Outreach, and Domestic Admissions and Conversion teams, driving innovation to ensure the University remains competitive.
- Cultivate partnerships with College executive teams and other key stakeholders to align recruitment strategies with market demands and achieve recruitment objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic and operational plans involving high-level internal and external stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment with the University's broader strategic goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in process and service quality to enhance the prospective student experience.

This 5-year fixed term position is full-time and will be located at the Newcastle campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

**What are your objectives in the first 12 months?**:

- Connect with key stakeholders (Divisional and College) and build effective relationships
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor
- Embed the portfolio operating model and realise the benefits from a collaborative team
- Engage with your critical external audiences
- Integrate your portfolio within the broader Future Students, Communications & Engagement unit
- Deliver on load and revenue targets
