JOB DESCRIPTION: STORE MANAGER

Reporting to: Franchise Owner

Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring it runs

smoothly and effectively. Making sure the staff are safe and motivated to provide the highest level of

customer service. Initial training and on-going support and training to be given to all staff members to ensure the team is maintaining the high standards of customer service

Principle Duties
- Hire and train new staff and ensure all new employee documentation is completed prior to

commencement.
- Complete weather appropriate rosters weekly or fortnightly.
- Complete weekly or fortnightly ordering of stock. Inclusive of ancillaries, gelato, and cakes.
- Supervise staff members and uphold and enforce consistent punctuality, enthusiasm, and store

procedures.
- Conduct staff meetings.
- Be the point of communication for all staff and report to franchise owners.
- Ensure all staff members are aware of allergen protocols and have the requisite product knowledge

to pass onto the customer while referring to the allergen disclaimer.
- Ensure food safety temperature record sheets are completed.
- Maintain store cleanliness and appearance. Ensuring that tables, cabinet glass, walkways and

benches are frequently cleaned and presentable.
- Ensure information conveyed on signage or display boards are relevant and correct, inclusive of

product labels in cabinet and on menu display boards.
- Conduct performance appraisals on staff and follow appropriate actions if required.
- Respectfully and appropriately respond to customer dissatisfaction complaints, following up if

required.
- Monitor spare change float amounts.
- Ensure appropriate product stock rotation is being upheld, inclusive of gelato, cakes and cones.
- Follow duties, directions and feedback from Augustus Gelatery Head Office Staff

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $29.00 - $57.00 per hour
