**Disability Support Worker**
**About us**

Your Own Care (YOC) is a Brisbane South based disability care and support service providing bespoke and quality care to those with a disability as well as support to those around them. YOC gives the individual requiring support and their families the satisfaction that they are being cared for in accordance with their individual needs giving the participants choice with the care services they want and how they want them delivered.

**Qualifications & experience**
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current Blue card Or willing to obtain
- Current Yellow card OR NDIS worker screening clearance Or willing to obtain
- YOC can provide guidance on how to obtain the above clearances however, you will not be able to commence work without the above
- Certificate 3 or higher in individual support or working towards
- Nursing, OT, SLP, Social work or health professional uni students also encouraged to apply
- Current Qld Drivers Licence

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Community Access - To provided quality care to participants wanting to engage in social activities
- Mental Health Care - supporting participants with dual diagnosis within their home and in the community
- Activities of Daily living support - providing support with all aspects of care including Personal care, meal prep, assistance with medication and light domestic duties
- Assisting to achieve life goals - To support and empower participants to achieve the things that matter most to them
- Health and wellbeing

**Salary**: From $31.80 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Morning shift
- Shift work
- Weekend availability
