We are seeking an experienced **Patient Support Services Supervisor**to join our team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. In this role, you will supervise and support the Patient Support Services Assistants (PSSAs) team, ensuring high standards of service delivery across the Hospital. You will also be responsible for managing rostering, payroll, inventory, and equipment, while maintaining strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
In this role, 50% of your time will be dedicated to training new employees, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient support services. As part of your career development, you will be enrolled in the **Cert IV Training and Assessment**course. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible for a pay increase.
**About the role**:
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the PSSAs team, ensuring compliance with service delivery models, operating term documents, and internal controls.
- Oversee administrative functions such as rostering, payroll, and inventory management.
- Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, resolving issues promptly.
- Lead and coach staff, ensuring alignment with operational and performance standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the patient support services function.
- Interviewing, training, assessing and induction of new employees
**About you**:
- Previous experience in support services, orderly, or cleaning roles within a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, managing teams of 25+ staff.
- Expertise in rostering and budget management within regulated or contracted service environments.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint).
- Sound knowledge of industry practices, including workplace health and safety, infection control, and cleaning protocols.
- Well-developed problem-solving, administrative, and report-writing abilities.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a demanding environment.
