Hatch is seeking a Design & Interface Assurance Manager to join our growing Energy practice in Victoria. The broader Energy team brings together experts in a variety of disciplines ranging from renewables, eGrid, nuclear, oil & gas and other related areas to inspire positive change in cities and communities around the world.

The Energy team at Hatch is a long-established group and has grown organically at a successful rate globally for the past few decades. The next phase of growth will be further expansion as we establish a broader presence across Australia and the surrounding regions. This exciting role will play a key role in our regional Energy business and join a strong global leadership team that is one of the main pillars of Hatch’s service offerings.

Reporting to the Regional Director of eGRID, this role will be based out of Melbourne and be responsible for contributing to the growth of the group in coordination with colleagues around the broader global Hatch platform. The Design & Interface Assurance Manager will provide leadership in maintaining and further developing our Design & Interface work, including responsibility for business development, team leadership and development, thought leadership and research, client engagement, technical oversight of deliverables and project financial performance.

**Responsibilities**:

- External interfaces, including technical coordination with HVDC OEMs and cable contractors
- Design requirements verification
- Design submission coordination and comment closeout
- Internal quality assurance and technical assurance review process
- Safety in design workshop planning, facilitation and reporting
- Will manage small team as part of project organisation 3-5 people

**Qualifications**:

- Design/Engineering manager skillset, electrical / high voltage engineering preferred
- Strong coordination skills
- High Voltage Substation / Transmission experience in AC and/or DC systems
- Australian (Victorian / Tasmanian) transmission market experience highly desirable
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills in complex and changing environments
