Café or Restaraunt Manager

**Position Description - Café Manager**

Urban Dining Pty Ltd currently has a vacancy in our team for a Café Manager.

**Key tasks and responsibilities of the role**:

- menu creation in consultation with Chefs;
- food and beverage quality control;
- coordinating special functions, including planning and organisation;
- arranging purchase and pricing of food and beverages based on budget;
- maintaining records of stock levels and relevant financial transactions;
- ensuring facilities comply with health regulation, including being clean/functional and of suitable appearance;
- maintaining customer service standards via customer interaction and feedback;
- selecting, training and supervising waiting, kitchen and other staff members;
- greeting customers and taking reservations as well as orders where required;
- managing staff performance including targets for sales and expenditure;
- managing rostering and scheduling of cafe staff;
- oversight of establishment operations, including kitchen;
- management engagement in respect to sales and profit targets;
- participation in business planning with owner;
**Key skills and experience required**:

- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or alternatively, three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications;
- Two years of work experience in the occupation in Australia or three years where applicant relies on work experience in lieu of formal qualifications;
- Proficiency in the English language;
- Excellent communication - both written and verbal;
- Strong understanding of workplace WHS procedures;
- Demonstrated competency in people management.

The salary level on offer for the position is $60,000.00 per annum plus superannuation. Applicants must indicate whether they are Australian Citizens or permanent residents and confirm their authority to work in Australia.
