**NATHAN DUNN RACING **currently has the following Full-time position available located at Cranbourne Stables, Victoria.
**Horse Trainer/ Educator**
**Duties will include**:
- Ability to ride pace/timed work and jump outs
- Able to educate and train horses in trackwork, on the ground, and educate young horses including barrier work, and swimming
- Train horses to accept equipment used in racing and around stables
- Report and advise any issues to Head Trainer
**Essential Skills**:
- A Certificate III or equivalent international qualification with at least 2 years full-time or equivalent experience; or at least 3 years full-time or equivalent professional experience in this role
- Proven knowledge and experience of horse handling, riding and training methods specific to the thoroughbred industry
- Proven ability to train and educate young horses
- Oral and written communication skills of a level to take instruction; provide information and advice to others and prepare reports
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Knowledge of safe operation of all equipment and use of personal protective equipment relevant to a racing business
- Sound knowledge of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in safe operation of equipment relevant to the training and preparation of racehorses
- Excellent horsemanship skills
