**Role Summary**
The Canteen Assistant is responsible for assisting the Canteen Manager with the effective operation of the
School Canteen services.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation and selling of food items in the canteen before school, during recess and
lunch.
- Assist with front counter service, handling cash as required.
- Prepare a range of fresh food and heat pre-prepared food on a daily basis.
- Maintain strict food safety standards.
- Assist with Flexischools lunch orders as required.
- Ensure the canteen is clean and tidy.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills in interactions with other staff,
- students, and parents.
- Fulfil other duties as required by the Canteen Manager or the Principal.
**Selection Criteria**
The incumbent must:
- Have a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and regularly attend a Christian church.
- Be able to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Accept Penrith Anglican College’s Statement of Faith and live a lifestyle consistent with this.
- Have a valid WWCC number.
**Child Protection**
Education has an important role to support children and young people and to identify where problems arise
that may put their safety, welfare or wellbeing at risk. All College staff have a responsibility to report risk of
harm concerns about children and young people, within their roles, and to provide support to children and
young people.
Penrith Anglican College complies with the requirements of the _Child Protection (Working with Children) Act _

**Remuneration**
Remuneration, duties and conditions will be as per _Independent Schools NSW (Support and Operational _
- Staff) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2021 _(or revised)._**Application Process**

- A signed Penrith Anglican College Statement of Faith.
- A cover letter addressing Key Responsibilities and Essential Skills and Attributes (no more than two
- pages).
- A Curriculum Vitae.
- Three Referees, one of whom should be your Church Minister or Pastor.
- Copies of qualifications.
- ‘100 Point’ proof of identity (e.g. Driver’s Licence, Medicare card, birth certificate, passport).
- Current Working with Children Check Number for paid work.
