**The Team**
The Clinical Intake Officer contributes to the University’s commitment to centrally coordinate and monitor support to create a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for all students. The Clinical Intake Officer will be adept at working as part of a multidisciplinary team with knowledge and experience of mental health service provision and will maintain professional working relationships with ANU Counselling, ANU Student Safety and Wellbeing, and other key ANU services, and with agencies within the community to establish an integrated care pathway for students.
**The Person**
You will provide initial clinical intake and triage screening and assessment for students seeking mental health and wellbeing support, including providing information, advice, organising referrals, and implementing crisis intervention as required.
You will have a degree in social work, psychology, mental health nursing, or occupational therapy. Social workers are required to be eligible for membership of AASW. Psychologists, mental health nurses and occupational therapists are required to have a full registration with AHPRA.
As part of our diverse Health and Wellbeing teams, you will help make a positive impact on the lives of students. In this position, you will work closely with practitioners in the broader Health and Wellbeing services to ensure high quality care and service delivery. Your role is pivotal in delivering services and nurturing an inclusive and safe environment where participants can thrive.

The University Experience Division provides a range of support, enrichment, and advisory services to help students to achieve their university education goals. We support students living both on and off campus, undergraduate and post-graduate, and strive to ensure high quality and responsive services are delivered effectively to students from all backgrounds.
