Your Role: *
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance, this role is responsible for develop and co-ordinate activities that will deliver, maintain and enhance Australian Military Bank’s risk and compliance frameworks including plans, policies, procedures and systems

Your Responsibilities and no limited to: *
- Ongoing management and enhancement of risk identification, assessment and mitigation practices.
- Conduct efficient and timely reviews of credit risk management policies and procedures (including credit risk appetite)
- Provide monthly profile reports against our credit risk appetite and portfolio limits
- Liaise with external solicitors and mortgage insurance companies to ensure timely completion of legal matters (if any)
- Provide timely advice to management and business units compliance obligations from all applicable regulations, laws and policies and on the impact that these have on the business
- Monitor compliance with relevant legislation including ensuring compliance with new legislation or amendments to existing legislation (e.g. Credit Code, FSR, EFT Code of Conduct, Privacy Act etc)
- Perform compliance reviews of departments including drafting and assisting with implementing solutions to process and control design.

About You*
To be successful in the role you will demonstrate the below key attributes and experience:

- Demonstrated experience in developing and enhancing Compliance Frameworks and Plans
- Proven ability to identify emerging compliance risks and developing strategies for their mitigation
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with all applicable Commonwealth, State & Territory Regulation
- Extensive experience in an ADI
- Minimum of 5 years in an risk management and compliance, audit or finance role
- Excellent communication skills including clear, concise and understandable written and oral communication skills
- High personal, professional and ethical standards in all work related dealings at all times including the ability to deliver quality output under tight deadlines
- Possess a commercial focus balanced by sound judgment and the ability to think creatively.
