Murgon is situated in the beautiful South Burnett, a peanut growing and wine-producing area on the Great Dividing Range, north of the Darling Downs. The town (pop - 2,400) is a 25 minute drive from Lake Barambah, 30 minutes from the town of Kingaroy, and just 100 kms from the beautiful Bunya Mountains, where you can explore the extensive range of walking trails, hand feed colourful native birds and soak up the panoramic mountain views.
What is a DRT? A DRT is employed by a school (Base School - Murgon SHS) and you are available to work across nominated schools within a cluster (Host Schools - Goomeri SS) to cover unexpected short term absences.
The DRT is a flexible position that can change day to day to meet the needs of the individual schools.
The Barambah cluster is a collegial team who support one another without reservation. Working within this cluster would be a great opportunity to gain experience working in a range of school models all of which work together to provide students with an inclusive and outstanding education.
Each school offers a supportive environment for a DRT, and you will be welcomed into the cluster.
