**Avivo provide support to people with frailty, disability or mental illness to live in their own home. Our Support Workers work alongside people, from all walks of life, giving them a helping hand to live their life.**

Be part of a fabulous caring team who are providing support to two siblings in their 60’s to continue living comfortably in their family home.

Our customers are very sociable and enjoy going out for coffee/lunch, shopping and going to the cinema with their support workers. They both have a great sense of humor and love trying new activities to enhance their day-to-day quality of life. We are looking for people who are committed to working as a team, have willingness to be flexible with work times, as we provide rostered 24 hours support in this great working environment. If you are reliable, caring, with a can-do attitude, wanting to learn and develop different skills we would love to meet you. You will be required to work fortnightly day shifts on Saturdays and between 11am - 4pm fortnightly shifts on Fridays. Other shift coverage for annual leave and overnight are also available.
**There's no 'typical day' but it may include...**.
- Domestic and household assistance
- Personal care including dressing, showering, and personal hygiene
- Clinical care - e.g. bowel care (training provided)
- Complex manual tasks such as hoisting (training provided)
- Social support including assistance with community access and attending appointment
- Providing reliable, timely and flexible services that best meet the needs of the individual and their family
- Problem solving issues with the person and/or their family, and the team
- Regular communication with local team and participation in team meetings

**You'll need**:

- Previous support work experience in Aged Care & Disability is desirable
- Demonstrated reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and listening
- Ability to problem solve, think creatively and find innovative solutions
- Competent using a Smart Phone and Apps
- Current NDIS Worker Screening check or willingness to obtain one
- Availability to attend mandatory and paid training during the week
- ** A valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle**

- An hourly rate starting from $30.46 per hour plus super and afternoon/evening shift loading, weekend penalties and all leave accruals
- Option to Salary Package up to $18,550 to reduce taxable income
