Mechanical Fitter

**Position - Mechanical Fitter cum Welder**

Job responsibilities will include:
1. To maintain equipment like conveyors, feeders, stackers, elevators, augers and crushing equipment (roller mill, jaw crusher etc)

2. To carry out fault finding and repairs of equipment including preventive and condition based maintenance

3. To ensure that all mechanical maintenance is completed in time

4. To implement strategies to reduce breakdowns to achieve better productivity

5. Ability and experience to weld components in flat, vertical and overhead positions

6. Ability to fabricate, install and repair by welding steel and iron structures, metal equipment and tools from drawings or verbal instructions

7. Should have at least 5 years experience of working as a fitter including experience of welding including operating lathes

8. To attend sites after normal working hours where equipment failure or breakdowns impact immediate operations

**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Young, NSW 2594: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Fitter: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Trade Certificate (preferred)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
