**Disability Support Worker - Casual Position**
**Pay: $35.20 - $60.25 per hour (SCHADS Award)**
**Location: On-site | Hours: Approx. 30 hours/week, with short shifts to start**

Hope and Wellbeing Care Services is growing and currently seeking compassionate, reliable **Disability Support Workers** to join our team. This role is ideal for someone committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and active participation in everyday life.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and grooming
- Support with mobility: lifting, transfers, and use of mobility aids
- Administer medication under supervision
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Help with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Accompany clients to appointments and community outings
- Encourage participation in social and recreational activities
- Promote independence and support life skills development
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Follow NDIS standards and WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) guidelines
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behaviour
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records
- Collaborate with families, support teams, and health professionals
- Follow individualised care plans
- Ensure confidentiality and ethical care at all times

What We’re Looking For:

- **Experience** in disability, aged care, or community support is preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of and empathy towards mental health challenges
- Ability to foster trust and be a dependable support person

Qualifications & Compliance (required):

- Certificate III in Individual Support _or_ 12 months’ relevant experience
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid & CPR certification
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Infection Control Training
- Medication Assistance Training
- Valid driver’s licence, car registration, and comprehensive car insurance

Desirable:

- Certificate IV in Mental Health
- Availability for varied shifts (morning, afternoon, evening, and weekends)
- Willingness to travel (100% preferred)
