
Electronic Engineering Technician

**Job Objectives**
To support the Engineers in the company to ensure the electronic systems are up to the engineering standard and to constantly monitor the faults and ensure their functions. This includes troubleshooting of PLC devices, drives, and various electronic control units.
**Job Brief**
The Electronic Engineering Technician is responsible for testing, installing, and analyzing electronic systems/devices, and preparing drawings and plans of electronic system/devices in support of internal engineer projects.
One of our clients, based in Pendle Hill, NSW need an Electronic Engineering Technician urgently to join their friendly team.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Design control panels and systems, including help with automation devices.
- Prepare drawings and wiring diagrams for our electronic equipment used in plastic extrusion. This includes extrusion machines, calibrators, haul off systems, in-line cutting and punching systems, and resin mixing machines.
- Assist engineering and production teams in development of plans, electronic equipment, and relevant circuitry. This includes reading the existing circuit drawings to help troubleshoot electronic equipment.
- Perform safety checks on the installed equipment. This includes regular checking of temperature regulation systems on extrusion machines and water-cooling systems.
- Test and evaluate the performance and effectiveness of those electronic equipment.
- Identify faults and formulate effective solutions.
- Repair and modify electronic equipment in accordance with self-formulated solutions or instructions from the engineering specialists.
- Assist in setting up remote connections for control of equipment.
- Record data and general reports after inspecting internal equipment.
- Participate in the equipment procurement process and provide technical advice based on the know-how of the plant’s working environment and power limitations.
**Job Requirements**
- Education and Certificates - Diploma in electrical engineering, or over three years’ experience as an electronic engineer.
- Work Experience - 3+ years of experience in an electronic Engineering Technician position.
- Must have full-time working rights in Australia
