**Position Information**:
Mount Terry Public School has an enrolment of 665 students in 26 mainstream classes and 3 support classes. 6% of the student population identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. The school is located in Albion Park and works in strong collaboration with the Albion Park Community of Schools. The school has a dedicated and collaborative staff who value professional learning and the explicit teaching of literacy and numeracy skills to maximise student achievement. The teaching staff includes early career teachers through to very experienced educators. An emphasis is placed on successful sporting, creative and performing arts, environmental and welfare programs. By providing a holistic approach to learning, students establish a sense of self and a place in the global community. The staff and parents of Mount Terry Public School enjoy a positive relationship, actively promoting a shared vision and an excellent school experience for all students.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with demonstrated exemplary teaching practice and a proven ability to lead school improvement in literacy and numeracy.
Proven expertise in building the capacity of staff to implement innovative and equitable future focused practices, including the integration of digital technologies that maximise student learning and engagement.
Expert capacity to work collaboratively and inclusively with all students, staff, parents and the broader community.
Demonstrated ability to lead effective practices for the welfare and wellbeing of students and staff, including practices that are respectful to culture and disability.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
