**About the Role**

The Burnside Hospital Sleep Centre provides a clinical service in the diagnosis and management of sleep disorders in adults. An opportunity has become available for several experienced sleep technicians to join our team of professionals. These positions involve the set-up and monitoring of patients undergoing diagnostic and treatment sleep studies.

The successful applicants must be prepared to work evenings (1900 - 2200) and overnight shifts (1930 - 0730). The centre operates up to seven (7) nights per week. Previous experience in a diagnostic sleep centre is essential, and further training will be provided. Availability to cover shifts at short notice would be an advantage.

Essential skills/requirements:

- Experienced sleep technician
- Excellent communication skills and be able to communicate in a professional and confident manner
- Competent organisation and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise, plan, and organise own work
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Good troubleshooting/problem solving skills
- Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of an integrated team
- Willingness towards ongoing development of skills and knowledge
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent is considered an advantage (Physiology, Applied Health, Health Sciences)
