**The opportunity**

The focus and purpose of this role is to holistically support customers of See Differently with the Royal Society for the Blind to reach their goals and enhance their quality of life. This occurs through a variety of planned, person-centred activities and the development and enhancement of independent living and social skills.

The successful applicants will:
Provide personal support to the customer to reach their goals in conjunction with the wider See Differently Community Services team.
- Ensure that quality service is being delivered to the customer.
- Participate in the team structure while working under a transdisciplinary model.
- Ensure that the rights, interests and needs of the Customer are addressed effectively.
- Understand and respect the linguistic and cultural diversity of the customer.
- The ability to travel independently and work out of normal hours with some evening and weekend work when required.

**You must hold or be willing to obtain**:
A Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability or Aged Care or Community Services or similar.
- Have previous experience within the disability sector or shared / lived experience of disability.
- A sound knowledge and understanding of vision impairment and empathy for people who are blind or vision impaired is highly desirable.
- A satisfactory National Police and DCSI Clearance and a current Driver’s License are required.
