Vintage Cellars is an icon within the Australian liquor industry - Australia’s Best Premium Liquor brand and a key part of the Liquor team at Coles.

Coles Liquor is a trusted retailer with three iconic trading banners, Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars. **About the role**:
An opportunity has emerged to join our team buying team as Category Buying Manager - Vintage Cellars Wine. Within this role you will have full accountability of the P&L and will develop a category strategy to implement across our stores.
Reporting to the head of our Vintage Cellars business, you will utilise your strategic mindset to identify growth opportunities within the wine category for Vintage Cellars. You will partner with suppliers to determine range, pricing structure and a compelling trade plan, ensuring we provide the best offer for our customers.

You'll also:

- Drive results and performance of our wine business
- Work cross-functionally across marketing, operations, transformation and strategy to continue to evolve our offer for customers
- Drive innovation within the wine category and our stores, working closely with the broader Coles Liquor team
- Lead and develop your commercial team

***About you and your skills**:
We are seeking a someone who has developed category management and commercial skills in either a retail or FMCG environment. We want someone who is passionate about wine to join our fast-paced, fun team to lead our wine business into the next exciting chapter of its 70+ year history.

You’ll also need:

- Strong commercial skills & acumen
- Outstanding influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Creative style with the ability to operate in a dynamic, customer-driven retail environment
- Proven ability to champion and drive change
- Strong financial acumen within a highly commercial environment
- Ability to lead teams and drive a high-performance culture
- Capacity to deliver high quality outputs in a fast-paced environment
- Strength building internal and external relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail
- And importantly, passion for having fun on the job
