Food runners play a critical role in the dining experience at The Gidley and we are looking for someone willing to make their impact by playing a part in creating memorable experiences. The position is suited to someone willing to learn or an experienced restaurant person with a passion for hospitality.

The venue, located in Sydney’s CBD, is an American-inspired steak house, where fine-dining meets semi-respectable displays of gluttony. Opened in 2019, The Gidley has become one of Sydney’s finest restaurants known for its opulent fit out, outstanding food & beverage offering and proven track record to provide exceptional hospitality.

**About the Role**:
We are looking for an energetic and professional food runner to join our team at The Gidley. You will perform a range of tasks including serving orders, explaining dishes and facilitating the communication between kitchen and the front of house team.

The position is a casual position, working up to 38 hours per week. Full time employment is available for the right person.

**Core responsibilities**:

- Confidently deliver and announce dishes to tables.
- Uphold our food health and safety and sanitation principle.

**Essential skills & traits**:

- Outstanding verbal communication.
- Confident body language.
- Ability to multitask.
- Willingness to learn and grow into more senior restaurant roles.

**Desirable skills & traits**:

- Understanding of cooking principles to describe the dish effectively.
- Experience working in fine dining and/or fast paced restaurants.
