ABOUT THE ROLE
As a **Food Truck Operator**, you will drive one of our food trucks to different stops on Garden Island to best service our customers. You will contribute to our goal of creating a positive customer experience by providing excellent customer service and amazing coffee.

This is a casual position with rosters up to 35 hours per week, worked between 6 am and
2:30 pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts available.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Driving a food truck between sites on Garden Island to best service our customers
- Consistently creating excellent customer experiences
- Making fantastic coffee
- Undertaking food preparation
- Managing the safety and hygiene of your work site, yourself, your customers and the food you are handling
- Responding to customer queries, requests and concerns

ABOUT YOU
You are a vibrant and energetic barista, experienced in high volume coffee making and operating a food truck. You also have food preparation skills able to make high quality menu items for your customers.

You are someone who gets the job done and you enjoy working in a fast paced, customer focused food and beverage outlet delivering great customer service, again and again.

You understand how this type of business operates and can quickly learn the ropes. You can also recognize how to improve your day to day performance to the benefit of customers and the business.

You are calm and confident under pressure and also know how to have fun and enjoy the work you do. You relate well to others and can work effectively in a team or independently.

To succeed in this role you will need the following skills and attributes:

- Valid and current driver's licence
- A Medium Rig licence (or willing to obtain one)
- Barista skills and experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably working in a high volume café, restaurant or fast food outlet)
- Highly developed face to face customer service and communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of food handling & hygiene standards, including a current Food Safety Certificate
- Experience in the use of POS, EFTPOS and cash handling
- Reliability and ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently and remotely
- A high standard of grooming and presentation as this is a front of house role
- Ability to work early mornings
