Data Analyst (SAS, SQL) - 12- 18-Month Contract - $750+S

Be part of one of Australia's largest and most recognised banking and insurance providers sitting within the Insurance product and Portfolio area of the business.

**Your new role**

As the leading Data Analyst you will be working alongside a Portfolio Advisor to support the business to achieve high performance and maximise profitability for the Claims Contracts division. Working closely with stakeholders, the role provides data analytical support to drive the financial performance of the Claims Contracts business and performance reporting set by customer criteria.

You will look closely into the complex Data Structures and Data Lakes, utilise Data programming and analytics to extract data using SAS, whilst providing quality performance and financial reporting, remuneration and opportunity analysis, pricing & financial support to enable the business to effectively deliver against current financial objectives.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- At least 3-5 years experience in using either SAS, SQL or R, Excel and any data analytic tools.
- Strong data analytics and programming skills.
- Data Extraction, Data Warehouse, Data Programming experience highly desired.
- Highly experienced in dealing with complex data structure and data analytics, data scientists skills preferred.
- Experience working in Insurance, Financial Services highly desirable.
- Customer experience focussed
- Good Communication Skills and Stakeholder Engagement experience.

**What you'll get in return**:

- This is a 12 - 18-month contract role. Paying up to $750 + super per day and the opportunity to work for a major player in Australia's Insurance, product and performance divisions.

This role has the option to be FULLY REMOTE, if applicable. Offices are Based out of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane if required.
