Fleet Maintenance Technician

**The Role**:
Our Mulgowie based fleet maintenance team are embarking on a significant program of works to undertake major cyclic maintenance of our fleet of harvesters. This will be a very rewarding role for an individual who takes pride in using their skills towards prolonging the life of critical machinery. Working as part of a small team with a globally experienced leader, you will embark on this ongoing project to conduct a full-overhaul and continued maintenance of our harvester fleet, from stripping each harvester to the ground through to turning out a machine you will be proud to have invested your skills and time towards. You will join a workshop that regularly manages a full farm fleet of heavy vehicles including trucks and tractors.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Undertake mechanical trade-related heavy vehicle restoration
- Work with team members towards diligently progressing the maintenance schedule
- Trouble-shoot and contribute experienced thinking towards achieving desired outcomes
- Work with the wider team to provide an immediate response to emergency work
- Ensure all work is completed safely and following WHS requirements

**To be successful in the position you will have**:

- Trade qualifications as an Automotive Mechanic (ideally Diesel); Mechanical engineer; Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanic; or similar
- Experience with basic oxy-acetylene, MIG/TIG or SMAW (stick) welding repairs
- Experience with fault finding and repairs on pneumatic or hydraulic systems
- Be self-directed and motivated
- Work well in a team environment
- Enjoy problem-solving
- Take pride in restorations and contributing to the life-cycle of major machinery
- Happy to work interstate to fulfil national support of our fleet
