Bookeeper

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented **Bookkeeper** to manage our company’s financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and overall bookkeeping responsibilities. This role is critical to ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and comply with all relevant Australian accounting and tax regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with superannuation, tax, and Fair Work requirements
- Reconcile bank accounts and financial statements
- Prepare BAS, PAYG, and other statutory reports
- Work closely with management and external accountants to ensure financial accuracy
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and ATO deadlines

**Key Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper in Australia (minimum 3 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Australian bookkeeping practices, tax requirements, and statutory deadlines
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero)
- High level of accuracy and extreme attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills

**Desirable**:

- Certificate IV or higher in Bookkeeping or Accounting
- Registered BAS Agent (preferred but not essential)

**How to Apply**:
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
