- Long-Term Role About the Family: This professional family is seeking a warm, experienced nanny to care for their two young children, who will be around 18 months and 4 years old when the role begins. Both parents work, occasionally from home, and value a calm and caring presence in the home. They love the outdoors and enjoy bushwalks, beach trips, and riding bikes at the local park. They're lucky to live within walking distance of several parks and a family-friendly bowls club cafe with toys. Their 4-year-old daughter is creative and active - she enjoys role-playing, scootering, painting, and cubby house play. Their 18-month-old son is a happy, outdoorsy toddler who enjoys park adventures and playgroups. He is deaf and wears cochlear implants, so experience with hearing devices is a plus (though not essential - training can be provided). In 2025, care will be for both children. From 2026, the older child will be at school and the role will focus on the youngest during term time.

**Your Duties**:

- Typical Duties - Plan and supervise age-appropriate, play-based activities (reading, role-play, art, outdoor games) - Manage daily routines, naps, and feeding - Support developmental milestones and encourage independent play - Supervise outdoor play in the backyard (trampoline, cubby, sandpit, camping set-up) - Take children on local outings (playgroup, park, bowls club caf'') using the family vehicle''or your own vehicle if preferred (car seats can be provided) - Change nappies, assist with toilet training, and bathe the children as needed - Prepare and serve snacks and lunch - Light tidying after meals and activities - Tidy children's bedrooms - Assist with school drop-offs and pick-ups next year Requirements Blue Card / Police Check Current First Aid & CPR Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (with infants and toddlers) Fluent spoken English Open driver's licence 2 professional references Ability to drive (family vehicle provided or use your own vehicle)

- The family is looking for a nurturing, reliable nanny who is confident with toddlers and preschoolers and has a playful, developmentally-minded approach. You'll bring energy, creativity, and structure to the day, supporting both children through routines, engaging play, and calm, caring interactions. Clear spoken English is important to support the youngest child's speech and language development. Auslan knowledge is a bonus but not required.
